The Doula Foundation’s Childbirth Education Series Childbirth education classes are intended to give you confidence as you approach the birth of your baby.
Although each birth is unique, the process remains wonderfully consistent.
Through our classes, we work to build the confidence of the birthing family by providing
- education,
- resources,
- hands-on practice,
- activities,
- videos,
- community
- and tangible support throughout our education series.
The childbirth education series is a three-week session.
New sessions begin the first Thursday of every month. The evidence-based classes are currently held on Thursday evenings for three weeks.
Class 1: Before You Give Birth – Includes making arrangements, taking care of yourself and learning how to manage pain.
Class 2: What Happens During Childbirth – Includes understanding labor, medical interventions, types of births and more.
Class 3: After You Give Birth – Covers postpartum changes and self-care, caring for your newborn and breastfeeding.
